In the world of hip-hop, the tumultuous relationship between the Chicago Police Department and several residents from the Parkway Garden Homes (aka O-Block) on the Southside of the city is known far and wide. In the last two decades and a half decades at Parkway Garden Homes, the residential area has become the home of the Gangster Disciples, as well as a multitude of highly publicized drug busts, federal information, and more. It has also given birth to worldwide moments such as Drill music and iconic recording artists like King Von, Chief Keef, and Lil Durk.
Whether the residents like it or not, O-Block has become a legendary place that seemingly attracts daily fanfare, various accounts of criminal activity, gang disputes, and unwanted attention from law enforcement.
