For Alvin Kamara, the 2022 NFL regular season has gotten off to somewhat of a rocky start. The five-time Pro-Bowler has already missed two of his team's first five games. In addition to his health issues, the New Orleans Saints running back is playing for a defensive-minded head coach for the first time in his career while also enduring instability at the team's starting quarterback position. Now, Kamara finds himself in the middle of some controversy on Twitter involving a minor who called him the N-Word (with an "a" at the end) after his big game against the Saints' 39-32 victory over the Seahawks last week.
On Sunday, Alvin Kamara had his best fantasy league football game of the year, rushing for over one hundred yards and leaving his team in receiving. This prompted a young fan to slide into his DM's with a congratulatory message.
"Good game N*gga," wrote the IG user.
"If I snapshot this and send it to your head coach at hokes what happens?" Responded Kamara.
The exchange continued, and it resulted in Kamara posting screenshots of the entire conversation online. The Saints' running back also tagged the teens' high school and high school football team. In response, the teen pleaded with Kamara to remove the post, claiming that he was the victim of harassment because of it. The screenshots have since gone viral, prompting several social media users to debate who's in the wrong for the DM exchange.
