On Sunday morning, a former NFL player named Antonio Dennard (32) was fatally gunned down in front of a bar and hotel in the city of Muhlen Township. Dennard played college football at Langston University before joining the NFL in 2012. Although the former defensive back was a part of the practice squad rosters for the Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, and Jacksonville Jaguars at various times, he did not play an NFL regular season game.
Denard was pronounced dead the day after the shooting at 3:15 am. His autopsy is set for Tuesday. Information regarding the suspects is scarce, the Berks County district attorney is currently looking into the matter.
