In this clip, DDG addressed his comments about Martin Luther King Jr., which he clarified was something “exaggerated,” and he added that he would never joke about anything like that. DDG added that he thought the way the media was trying to spin the situation was “lame.” When it comes to cancel culture, DDG stated that he’s never had this many people hating on him, and he questioned if it was because he’s dating Halle Bailey. Shirley Ju then asked about how he felt about “Insecure” actress Amanda Seals telling Halle to break up with him over his comments. DDG stated that he doesn’t know Seales or her work, and he believes that someone who’s 41 shouldn’t be talking about someone in their early 20s. From there, DDG reacted to Kanye’s “White Lives Matter” shirt, and he explained that Kanye has been doing a lot lately.
