The RICO case involving Young Thug, Gunna, and numerous others has found many people being denied bond, as Gunna has tried three previous times. Since then, Lil Baby revealed he’s been in contact with Gunna and Thugger while they’ve been locked up.
While speaking to the Associated Press about his new album ‘It’s Only Me,’ Lil Baby was asked about his friends being locked up while awaiting trial.
“It honestly kind of (expletive) me up, like on a day-to-day. I try my best not to think of it,” said Lil Baby. He continued, “I haven’t been talking to Gunna as much, but I talk to Thug often. It’s one of those things I try to keep off my mind. If I think about it too much, I get deep into it. It’s the fact that I know the situation of where we are and what we’ve overcome.”
Lil Baby then said it was scary. “To know the picture that they are painting isn’t really them.”
The rapper was then asked if he had become more conscious of his lyrics, to which he said yes. “t automatically makes you conscious. I can say something crazy that I never did. I know that. But with everything going on, I ain’t going to say that. I’m scared for someone who would try to make something that’s not. I try my best.”
