In this clip, DDG spoke about his new album, “It’s Not Me, It’s You,” and he stated that he thinks it’s his best work. When asked about “9 Lives,” which Shirley said is hers and Vlad’s favorite song, DDG stated that he really opened up on that song. He added that he wanted to collaborate with Polo G and NLE Choppa, who DDG said came from a similar background. DDG then detailed his street background, and he went on to speak about how he was turned away from that lifestyle when his brother was killed. From there, DDG spoke about his own struggles growing up, including not having hot water and having to heat the water on the stove. DDG then explained how the struggle shaped him, and he added that life was more fun during that time when money didn’t matter.
