Kanye West recently appeared on ‘Drink Champs’ and made various comments that caused much backlash. The rapper made comments about George Floyd, saying his death wasn’t caused by a knee to the neck from disgraced former officer Derek Chauvin and was instead caused by fentanyl. Since then, the family of Floyd has filed a $250 million lawsuit against West for his comments. Now, former NBA player Rex Chapman has called out West for anti-Semitic comments made on ‘Drink Champs,’ while calling on Adidas to address their relationship with West.
The clip posted by Chapman found West saying, “The thing about it being Adidas, I could literally say anti-Semitic s**t, and they can’t drop me. I can say anti-semitic things and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what?” In another tweet, Chapman said, “Who wants to say anti-semitic things?” Chapman then retweeted a message from a “StopAntisemitism” account that called out West as the “Antisemite of the Week,” listing comments West has made about Jewish people over the past several years.
