Ashanti is now breaking her silence on comments made by Irv Gotti, who said he and the singer had a relationship. A snippet of an interview with Angie Martinez for her ‘IRL’ surfaced, with the singer speaking on allegations by Gotti.
The singer commented on Irv’s statements about her, saying, “It wasn’t surprising to me” in reference to Irv Gotti’s “version of the story.” Ashanti went on to say, “Irv has flat out lied about a lot of things.”
When speaking about the “Queens Remix” verse she gave for Diddy, which seemingly addressed Gotti, Ashanti said, “I think it was just perfect timing. There was a lot of stuff going on with me and a lot of controversy happening. Some people don’t know how to move on. So, I felt like this was an opportunity to tell people to move on.” Take a look above.
