According to a report from The Times, Kanye West has closed his private school, Donda Academy, for the rest of the 2022-23 school year.

An email from the school's principal, Jason Angell, was sent out to parents about the decision. The email reportedly reads, "Our leadership team will be working diligently to assist all families during this transition, ensuring that every scholar has what they need to succeed in their next community in a prompt and gracious manner."

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the school lost an educational consultant at the school after Kanye stated on Twitter that he was going "death con 3 on Jewish people."

The academy's boys basketball team, the Donda Doves, was also disinvited to two tournaments, including the Play by Play Classics. A spokesperson for the tournament released a statement, "Kanye’s words and actions violate our values as a company and a country."

In the wake of the controversy surrounding Kanye, he has been dropped by his booking agency, as well as adidas and Balenciaga. Athletes Aaron Donald and Jaylen Brown also parted ways with Kanye's Donda Sports.
