In this clip, Katie Got Bandz spoke about being the “highlight” of Shady’s “Go In” video, which turned into a viral meme. Katie explained that the footage of her holding the prop gun wasn’t supposed to be in the video, and she added that prosecutors tried to use the footage in a gun case two weeks after the video dropped. When asked about what she thinks about the meme, Katie stated that she thinks it’s funny, but she added that it also “feels good.” When Shawn Prez stated that she paved the way for female artists holding pistols, Katie agreed and pointed out that she’s one of a kind.

From there, Shawn Prez asked about Drill music creating influence outside of Chicago, and Katie stated that she was not surprised. Katie went on to speak about Drill originating in the city around 2010, and she shouted out various artists, including Chief Keef and Lil Durk, for paving the way. While speaking about Chief Keef, Katie called him a “GOAT,” and she stated that he has anthems that still stand. Katie went on to speak about dropping her first mixtape, “Bands and Hittaz,” and she revealed that she was in the studio drinking and partying. Katie then added that she doesn’t record like that anymore, which led to Shawn calling her a “young OG.”

Moving along, Katie spoke about the origin of “Drillary Clinton,” which she said came from fans, and Katie went on to detail making “Pop Out,” her breakout song. Katie pointed out other songs that have done big numbers, and she spoke about being in the studio with King Louie when they made “Pop Out.” Katie revealed that Louie freestyled his lines on the song, and she added, “He knew it was a hit.”
