According to reports, the Powerball Jackpot has risen to $1 billion after no one was able to match all six numbers for the massive prize in Saturday’s drawing.

It was noted that this is only the second time the jackpot has risen to $1 billion in the lottery’s 30-year history. The previously estimated prize this past Saturday found the jackpot at $825 million. The cash value for Saturday’s prize was $410.2 million.

Powerball said six tickets won $1 million prizes in Saturday’s drawing, with California and Michigan sparking two winning tickets each, while Maryland and Texas had one winning ticket each. The largest Powerball prize in history was $1.586 billion in January 2016. It was split by three winners in Florida, Tennessee, and California.

The last Powerball won found a $632.6 million jackpot being hit on January 5 and split between two winners in Wisconsin and California. The next drawing is set for Monday. Stay tuned for more updates.
