Drake and 21 Savage recently dropped their ‘Her Loss’ album, which caused much backlash among rap peers as Drake called out numerous artists. Shortly after, Nas dropped his latest album ‘King’s Disease III,’ produced entirely by Hit-Boy. Both projects have been well-received, but 21 Savage was recently heard debating the relevance of the legendary rapper.
During a conversation on Clubhouse, 21 Savage was debating contributions from Nas in a room with the title “Is Nas The Greatest Rapper or What? #KD3.” 21 gave some of his thoughts, noting that although Nas makes amazing music, he isn’t relevant. “I don’t feel like he’s relevant,” said 21 Savage. He continued: “I just feel like he got a loyal fan base. He still makes good music.”
When asked by other people in the Clubhouse room to define his meaning of “relevance,” 21 Savage said: “Mostly connected or appropriate to what’s being done to be considered.” Listen above.
