According to reports, Canadian pop star Kris Wu will spend the next decade plus in a Chinese prison after being convicted of rape.
Officials from the district of Chaoyang said the investigation revealed that from November to December 2020, Wu raped three women. “Wu Yifan took advantage of three drunken women … at his home,” the court said in an official statement.
The New York Post notes, "Wu was detained on July 31 last year after an 18-year-old Chinese student publicly accused him of inducing her and other girls, some of them younger than 18, to have sex with him."
Wu is expected to be deported after the completion of his prison term. Wu has also lost all of his endorsement deals and brand partnerships since the news broke about the allegations against him.
