Kanye West’s 2022 has found him facing a lot of different issues, as the rapper faced backlash for anti-semitic comments, resulting in numerous brands dropping the rapper and clothing designer. The events mentioned reportedly dropped West down from his status as a billionaire. However, that hasn’t stopped the rapper from pushing toward a new endeavor: to become President of the United States.
Recently, West sat down and spoke about meeting with Donald Trump at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. The rapper claims that when he visited Trump, he asked him “to be my running mate in 2024.” In one of the many “#YE24” videos the rapper shared related to his campaign, he continued speaking about the encounter with Trump.
“The thing that Trump was most perturbed about was me asking him to be my vice president. I think that was lower on the list of things that caught him off guard,” said West.
The footage concluded with West saying, “When Trump started basically screaming at me at the table yelling me, telling me I was going to lose, I mean, has that worked for anyone in history? I’m like, ‘Hol’ up, hol’ up, hol’ up, Trump. You’re talking to Ye.'” Watch above.
