Bankroll Freddie Accused of Drug Trafficking, Wants Jewelry That Was Seized Before Trial

In November 2022, Bankroll Freddie was arrested in Arkansas and was indicted on drug and gun charges. From there, it was revealed the rapper was named in a RICO indictment and was accused of moving hundreds of kilos of cocaine and marijuana. However, all the rapper allegedly cares about is getting his jewels seized during his arrest back in his possession. 

Court documents that surfaced noted Bankroll Freddie is being charged with “conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and at least 100 kilograms but less than 1,000 kilograms of marijuana and other drug and firearm offenses.” 

The Quality Control rapper reportedly asked for his jewelry seized in an April 2022 traffic stop that resulted in his arrest to be returned. However, a motion filed by U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas Jonathan Ross asked a judge to deny the rapper’s request. 

The motion said “This Court should deny [Freddie’s] request for return of property for multiple reasons. First, the charges, in this case, have been dismissed, and the property at issue relates to an ongoing matter pending in front of Judge Moody. This dispute should be decided in that case. Second, the property is an item sought for forfeiture in the ongoing case. Finally, the jewelry is evidence in the ongoing criminal prosecution.” As of now, Bankroll Freddie and 34 others named in the RICO indictment are facing 16 federal charges. According to reports, rapper Bankroll Freddie has been indicted on drugs and gun charges. Freddie is one of 34 charged in the 61 count indictment and currently sits in police custody. 

TMZ notes that the round up of the 34 defendants on Wednesday is actually part of a larger investigation that includes over 70 individuals. The indictment claims Freddie and his East Arkansas crew conspired to sell copious amounts of crack cocaine and marijuana between March 2021 to October 2022.

Freddie is also facing additional charges for allegedly possessing multiple firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Moreover, federal authorities seized cash and jewelry from several defendants.
