On April 28, 2022, six men armed with guns, hammers, and tire irons bum-rushed their way into a jewelry store located in the city of Tustin, California. The culprits donned hooded jackets, along with gloves and face masks, as they crushed the display glass and raided the display cases, while numerous witnesses (staff members and customers). The brazen effort was so organized and efficient that the group made off with $87,000 worth of jewelry in less than one minute. In the months that followed, the Tustin Police Department opened an investigation that resulted in the arrest of Nasadi Tyree Milton (24) and Trayvonte Washington (30) during the Summer. The reaming four suspects, Masiah Pagota (19), Naheim Milton (19), Cameron Smith (28) remaining, and Gregory Edison (25); were apprehended during the Fall and Winter. The latter is a rapper based in Long Beach, California, and an affiliate of Snopp dog who goes by the stage name of Jooba Loc.
Jooba Loc gained popularity upon the release of the debut LP, Only Way Out (2016). A project that featured contributions from West Coast rap veterans such as Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, and YG. The 25-year-old rapper was previously signed to Snoop Dogg's record label, Doggyhouse Records. His biggest hit is a song called "Fallbacc" featuring Snoop Dog.
All of the suspects allegedly involved in the aforementioned robbery are now faced with felony charges that include armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
