On the heels of Gunna's release and subsequent statement outlining that he did not cooperate with police in order to let him out of jail, footage has surfaced from Gunna accepting his plea deal that seems to run counter to what he previously stated.
In the footage shared on social media, Gunna is heard confirming a series of statements that incriminate YSL and absolve him of any wrongdoing. He also acknowledged his regret that his music was used to the further YSL as a gang. "I recognize, accept and deeply regret that my talent and music indirectly furthered YSL the gang to the detriment of my community. YSL as a gang must end."
But following his sentencing, Gunna released a statement that seems to undermine what he said in sentencing: "While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way."
