According to reports, the sentencing for the man who shot Nipsey Hussle in Los Angeles three years ago—Eric Holder Jr., was postponed.
This past Thursday, Holder was supposed to have a hearing for sentencing in his first-degree murder conviction in Los Angeles. However, the sentencing was delayed after attorneys for Holder filed a motion asking that the judge reduce the first-degree murder conviction to voluntary manslaughter.
Sources that spoke to Rolling Stone claim Eric Holder’s attorney Aaron Jansen wanted to argue the case during a new court date on December 1. This is three weeks before Holder will step in front of a judge on his new sentencing date—December 19.
Jansen told the court he would argue that the jurors in the trial gave an “inconsistent” verdict. Stay tuned for more details.
