Atlanta-based journalist George Chidi recently addressed the various plea deals given to YSL members in the state RICO case, as Gunna, Lil Duke, Slimelife Shawty, and Young Thug's brother, Unfoonk, have all taken the deals and been released.
Chidi then addressed Young Thug's situation, writing, "For everyone talking about how Young Thug is 'standing strong' by not taking a plea agreement: the district attorney's office isn't offering Jeffery Williams any deal that doesn't leave him in prison forever. He's the target of this case. Everyone else is optional."
He also predicted that all of Young Thug's co-defendants will be given plea deals if it means they will have a better chance of convicting him. Chidi wrote, "My read here is that the DA will deal out (almost) everyone else if it means improving their chances of convicting Young Thug. The operating philosophy as described to me by an ADA is to ask 'absent this person, would this crime still happen?' If the answer is yes, cut a deal."
As Chidi stated in a previous VladTV interview, Young Thug has hired one of the top attorneys in Atlanta, Brian Steel, to represent him. He then wrote, "Also, if Thug and Brian Steel go down, they will go down fighting."
During his Twitter thread, George also provided insight on rapper YFN Lucci's upcoming trial, which you can check out above.
