Closing arguments were made in Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez's trial on Thursday (December 22), which was covered by Law Crime News' Meghann Cuniff.

On Twitter, Cuniff explained that George Mgdesyan, Tory Lanez's attorney, finished his closing arguments, and he stated that the case was about sex, not a shooting. Deputy DA Kathy Ta then disputed Mgdesyan's claims, as she had a slideshow labeled "Not about" with "Anyone's sex life," "The party," and "LAPD" listed underneath.

Ta also addressed Kelsey Nicole being a criminal mastermind, stating, "The idea that she's a criminal mastermind? She's a terrible liar on the stand." Ta then addressed Tory Lanez, stating that when he and Megan were hanging out, "She's more successful, she's more famous than him," which Cuniff said led to Tory smirking in court. Ta then stated that it's a straightforward case, claiming Tory "had a massive ego and he could not handle being disrespected."

Cuniff went on to reveal that the jurors are deliberating on the case, adding, "Judge Herriford told the jury if they don't reach verdict today, they can deliberate tomorrow or choose to take the day off and return for further deliberations on Dec. 27."
