Lupita Nyong'o and Tenoch Huerta were both born in Mexico, and they co-starred in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever together. But the paths that they have taken the gain notoriety as A-List celebrities are quite contrasting. Lupita's acting chops on Broadway landed her on the radar of Disney, who cast her in the New Star Wars Trilogy and Jungle Book before being cast for a co-starring role in Black Panther. In comparison, Tenoch rose through the ranks as an on-screen performer with a series of roles in Spain and Latin America. Back then, the most notable role of his career before being cast as Namor in the Black Panther sequel was his portrayal of the fan-favorite Rafa (Rafael Caro Quintero) in Narcos: Mexico.
A few days ago, the two actors made a joint post on Instagram, where they could be seen dancing and holding each other. The holiday-themed video clip was titled "Feliz Navidad (Nakia & Namor's Version)" because the classic holiday tune can be heard while the clip is playing. The two seemingly have a playful relationship as they often engage one another in a fun manner during joint interviews and camera appearances. Nevertheless, that didn't stop fans on Twitter and various social media platforms from weighing in on the footage with hopes that the most recent footage was the beginning of a 'Lupita-Tenoch' power couple.
"Tenoch and Lupita are the two most beautiful people in the universe," wrote a Twitter User.
"Lupita knows exactly what she’s doing putting that video of her and Tenoch on her IG," added another commentator on Twitter.
"What can I do to get a romantic drama movie between Lupita Nyong'o and Tenoch Huerta? In English or Spanish," wrote another user online.
Although Tenoch is the father of two, most reports suggest he is single at the moment. When Lupita noticed the rumor mill that the aforementioned IG post caused, she promptly uploaded a photo of herself with Selema Masekela, revealing that they are a couple and she is off the market.
