Arthur Woods told TMZ that Big Scarr overdosed on prescription pills at his girlfriend's house in Memphis on Thursday night. Woods explained that Big Scarr was battling depression and dealing with many traumatic events in his life, including being shot. Big Scarr's uncle added that the rapper was also dealing with the death of his grandmother, which he took very hard.

Big Scarr was also thrown through a windshield in a 2016 car accident, which led to his stage name, as he was left with a huge scar on his body. The rising rapper also had to have his appendix removed after he was shot in 2020.
