Following the shooting at the set of his music video in Miami, French Montana issued a statement via TMZ regarding the ordeal. 

“Last night, I was in Miami celebrating the release of my CB6 mixtape w/ friends at a local restaurant,” the statement read. “We unfortunately were at the wrong place, at the wrong time when an incident took place that left people hurt. Our thoughts & prayers are w/ the victims & families at this time.”

Reports surfaced early on Friday (January 6) morning about a shooting at the set of French Montana's music video in Miami. 

It has since been revealed that as many as 10 people were shot outside of popular soul food restaurant The Licking Miami Gardens. There are reports that an argument outside of the restaurant turned violent, which led to gunfire. 

Out of the ten people injured, the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue reports that six were transferred by medical personnel, while four others brought themselves to local hospitals. Of those injured were New Orleans rapper Rob49, who is reportedly in stable condition. However, there are reports that French Montana's bodyguard is fighting for his life after being shot.

According to reports, multiple people have been injured after gunfire erupted at the French Montana video shoot in Miami. Several witnesses say at least 10 people were injured in the shooting. 

Per NBC Miami:

“Rapper Ced Mogul told NBC 6 he was at the video shoot behind a nearby KFC, where someone was robbed, [...] The shoot then moved to The Licking, where as many as nine people were shot, including rapper Rob49.”

No arrests have been made.
