Jury selection in the YSL RICO case began last week, and WSBTV's Michael Seiden has obtained questions asked of potential jurors in the process.
Some of the questions include, "Do you have an opinion about a person who has head and neck tattoos?" Another question asked included having an opinion on people who "flash guns, cash, or gang signs." Since the case centers around Young Thug and YSL, jurors were asked if they knew about the rapper, "Young Stoner Life," and "Young Slime Life."
Other rappers were also included in the questionnaire, including Gunna, Rich Homie Quan, Lil Wayne, Birdman, and YFN Lucci. When it comes to lyrics, potential jurors were asked if they believe that songs lyrics are autobiographical.
Young Thug is among 28 people named in an indictment that charged defendants with 56 total crimes. Prosecutors are painting Young Thug as the leader of the YSL gang, and he has pleaded not guilty to all counts.
The trial is set to start today (January 9), and Judge Ural Glanville estimated with the number of witnesses and defendants that the trial could last six to nine months.
