Famed singer El DeBarge was arrested on weapon and drug charges in Burbank, California, on Sunday (January 8).
According to TMZ, El DeBarge was pulled over for expired tags, and officers noticed an expandable metal baton, an illegal weapon, in plain sight. This led officers to search his vehicle, where they found pepper spray and narcotics they believed to be heroin.
It was also revealed that El DeBarge didn't have a valid driver's license. He was charged with possession of a leaded cane or baton, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
El DeBarge posted $25K bond and is scheduled back in court in March.
