Deb Antney recently sat down for an interview on the Ugly Money Podcast, where she claimed that the story about Gucci Mane killing Jeezy's friend Pookie Loc isn't true.
Around the 1:36:00 mark in the above video, Deb, who managed Gucci under her Mizay Entertainment company, stated that she wishes Gucci would stop claiming that he killed Pookie Loc. Deb made the remark while speaking about Gucci and Jeezy's Verzuz battle, which she applauded, saying that it was great for the culture.
She then addressed Gucci comments in the Verzuz, where he said, "Put that n***a ass in the dirt. Smoking on Pookie Loc tonight. Send some more, I’ma send ’em back the same way … In a box." Gucci later admitted that he regretted his remarks, telling Rap Radar Live, "I don’t even like to perform that song. When I left, I was like, 'Damn. I wish I wouldn’t have said what I said.'"
While speaking about Gucci, Deb added, "Technically, you didn't kill anybody. Let's stop talking about that now, because all these kids think that you're the number one killer."
She went on to speak about Gucci being a father now, adding that the story about Pookie Loc was drummed up for his rapper image. When the interviewer asked, "So, you're saying Gucci never did that to Pookie Loc?" Deb responded, "No."
