Defense attorney Angela D’Williams, who is representing Rodalius Ryan in the YSL RICO case, is alleging that Ryan was injured after being assaulted by a Fulton County deputy.

While speaking to WSB-TV on Monday (January 23), D'Williams claimed that Fulton County Deputy Kandakai Morris punched Ryan in the head and caused him to fall on the sidewalk while he was being transported to the courthouse that day. D'Williams raised concern about Ryan possibly suffering a concussion in the incident.

However, sheriffs claim that Ryan was spitting in the patrol car and "has been an ongoing problem." A report of the incident claims that Deputy Kandakai Morris warned Ryan that he'd have to clean the patrol car for spitting inside of it, and he added that Ryan told him, "I'm not cleaning up sh*t." Morris claims that Ryan spit again, with the spit landing on his face. D'Williams denied Ryan intentionally spit at Morris, adding that he said "shhh" because he was upset about something.

From there, Morris alleges in the report that Ryan ignored his instructions to exit the vehicle, and when he tried to remove him, Ryan stiffened up and laid in the backseat. Morris added that he grabbed Ryan's ankle to pull him out, and Ryan started kicking. Morris then pulled Ryan out of the seat and onto the ground.

D'Williams disputed Morris' claims, stating that he didn't give Ryan an opportunity to exit the vehicle before dragging him onto the sidewalk, where he hit his head. D'Williams added that she plans to file a formal complaint against the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.

Ryan is serving life in prison for a 2019 murder. In the YSL RICO indictment, he was charged with one count of conspiracy to violate the RICO Act. He was also charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited item by an inmate after his involvement in the alleged courtroom drug deal with Young Thug and another co-defendant. In addition, Ryan is facing charges of misdemeanor simple assault and obstruction of police over the incident with Deputy Morris.
