Eddie Murphy and Rick James will always be linked following Dave Chappelle's infamous skits based on the late Charlie Murphy's tales of their interactions. Eddie and Rick will also be remembered for the 80s hit "Party All The Time." While promoting his upcoming Netflix film, You People, the legendary comedian appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and explained how the track was recorded.
The Coming To America actor explained that he traveled to Rick James' house in Buffalo to record the track, but ended up having to stay for an additional two weeks due to a huge snowstorm.
"We were snowed in for two weeks," Murphy revealed. "We were supposed to go up for the weekend. I went up there to record 'Party All The Time' ...maybe the most fun I ever had...one of my fondest memories."
When host Jimmy Kimmel joked about Rick's drug usage, Eddie explained that the musical icon never did hard drugs around him since he wasn't a user.
Throughout the rest of the interview, Eddie Murphy spoke about his friendship with Michael Jackson and Arsenio Hall, his upcoming documentary, and completing Beverly Hills Cop 4. To hear more, check out the interview above.
