Chad Ochocinco recently sat down on the "Club Shay Shay" podcast with Shannon Sharpe, where he spoke about his frugal ways during his NFL days.

While other athletes were flexing with expensive jewelry, designer clothes, and flying on private jets, Chad was doing the exact opposite. He explained, "I ain't flying private. Put me on Spirit. Exit row, window seat, that's all I need. As long as I get from point A to point B. I don't need private."

He went on to explain how your name is more valuable than anything when you become famous, "If you can get to a point in your career where your name becomes bigger than anything you can purchase, there's your value. My name itself, Ochocinco, at one point, was bigger. We talk about watches and jewelry and chains—never bought real anything while I was playing. What was the point? I went to Claire's.'

His days of saving his money have added up, as Ochocinco revealed that he kept 80-83% of his NFL salary by not spending his money on expensive things. You can hear more above.
