Former NFL defensive back Vontae Davis was arrested over the weekend for driving under the influence as he crashed his Tesla into another vehicle on a Florida highway.

When the two-time Pro Bowl DB was apprehended by authorities following the crash, it appears as though Davis is having trouble maintaining consciousness. Cops even scolded Davis by telling him, "you almost killed somebody."

According to officers, Davis said he had two "mixed drinks" at a club prior to getting behind the wheel but had no recollection of the actual crash. When he was told that he'd be placed under arrest, Davis asked why. Much to his chagrin, one of the officers didn't mince words. "Your eyes are bloodshot," he said. "Your speech is slurred. You can barely stay awake. All right? You almost killed somebody."

Davis shot back that he "didn't almost kill nobody."

"Yeah, man. They were in a truck on the side of the road," the officer said. "You took them completely out. And there was a father and son there on the shoulder."

Davis pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on Monday.
