The jury selection in the YSL RICO case is expected to continue for months, which was revealed in an overview laid out by Fulton County Chief Judge Ural Glanville.
Judge Glanville revealed that 300 potential new jurors are being summoned on Feb. 24, and another group of 300 will be brought in on March 17. As previously reported, the potential jurors will have to watch a four-hour video covering the indictment. They are also asked to answer a questionnaire and request to be heard about any hardships that would excuse them from the trial.
Judge Glanville revealed that the goal is to qualify 90 jurors for the trial, with 12 trial jurors and six alternates ultimately being chosen. He added, "Just for your basic juror math, if we examine five a day, that is four months. If you examine a full panel (12) a day, that’s about two and a half months."
