Four years ago, Rep. Ilhan Omar, a congresswoman from Minnesota, infamously tweeted: "It's all about the Benjamins baby," when referring to the Republican Party's unwavering financial support of Isreal. Joe Rogan, a famed podcaster known for his outspoken takes on social and political matters, mentioned the controversial tweet in a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience before cracking a joke about the statement.

"The idea that Jewish people are not into money is ridiculous," Rogan said. "That's like saying Italians aren't into pizza. It's f*cking stupid."

The statement above came during Saturday's episode, and it has since ignited opposing commentary from Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, New York Congressman Ritchie Torres, and the CEO of the American Jewish Committee Ted Deutch.
