Robert Allen, one of the four suspects involved in XXXTentacion's murder, took the stand as a state's witness on Wednesday (February 8) during the ongoing trial. Allen previously pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the case.

Allen shared details of the moments leading up to the murder, including renting an SUV and "looking for people to rob" on June 18, 2018. Allen stated that it was his co-defendant Dedrick Williams, 26, was the person who spotted X's BMW, which he recognized from Instagram posts on X's page.

After seeing the car, Allen stated that his other co-defendants, Michael Boatwright, 27, and Trayvon Newsome, 24, told him to go in Riva Motorsports, where X was inside. Once inside, Allen explained that he tried to call Boatwright, who didn't answer after Williams initiated the plan to rob the rapper. Allen then stated that Williams purchased a black mask inside of the store, and they all met in the SUV.

While in the vehicle, Allen stated that they were going over a plan to rob X, but Allen told them he didn't think it was a good idea because of the surveillance cameras he saw at the store. When Boatwright and Newsome also expressed hesitancy to Williams' plan, Williams reportedly asked if they were scared. From there, Allen claims Boatwright stated, "'All right, we're gonna get [XXXTentacion].'"

Allen stated that Boatwright and Newsome agreed to confront XXXTentacion, while he stayed in the car with Williams. They parked across the street, thinking they were out of view of Riva Motorsports' cameras, but Riva had cameras in the parking lot they were at.

Speaking about X leaving the store, Allen stated, "As they’re driving, coming out of RIVA Motorsports, Dedrick [Williams] blocks them off, and Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome get out and rob them."

Once Boatwright and Williams were out of the car, Allen said he saw Boatwright point his rifle at X, while Boatwright took his necklace. Newsome then grabbed a Louis Vuitton bag containing $50,000 in X's car, and Allen stated that Boatwright fired his rifle at X "two or three times." Allen claims that the entire incident lasted about three minutes before Newsome and Boatwright ran back to their car, and Williams sped off.
