According to a document that was released this past Tuesday, former Memphis police officer Demetrius Haley reportedly sent photos of a bloodied and beaten Tyre Nichols to six people while the 29-year-old was handcuffed.

Haley reportedly took two photos of Nichols on his personal phone, which featured Nichols being sat up against a car because he could not sit up on his own. The images were sent to two other cops, according to the document.

The file that surfaced said, “On your personal cell phone, you took two photographs while standing in front of the obviously injured subject after he was handcuffed. In your Garrity statement, you admitted you shared the photo in a text message with five (5) people; one civilian employee, two MPD officers, and one female acquaintance.

The document noted that a sixth person was sent the photos. Haley and four other officers are being charged with aggravated assault, second-degree murder, two counts of official misconduct, and more. Stay tuned for more updates.
