Three weeks ago marked the 23rd anniversary of D'Angelo's classic neo-soul album Voodoo. The platinum-selling album garnered D'Angelo a Grammy award for 'Best Male R&B Vocal Performance' en route to temporarily thrusting his name into the mainstream. Although Voodoo and its critically acclaimed predecessor (Brown Sugar) live on in the annals of R&B history as genre gems, D'Angelo never recaptured the magic of his first two studio albums. But that hasn't stopped his son from trying. Swayvo Twain (Michael Archer Jr.) is a rapper born to D'Angelo and soul singer Angie Stone in the late 90s. The talented young artist recently posted a snippet from his music video for a remake of a track released by his father in 1995 called "Sh*t, D*mn, Motherf*cker."
