Florida man Billy Bennett Adams III, a 25-year-old s rapper known as Ace NH, was arrested last week on charges of first-degree murder and killing an unborn child for the death of his pregnant girlfriend, 22-year-old Alana Sims.
According to police, Adams met Sims on January 30 after telling her that he wanted to celebrate beating a double murder charge just 13 days earlier. After Sims got out of her car to meet with Adams, police claim that he fatally shot her while her toddler sat in her car nearby.
Tampa Major Mike Stout revealed that Adams "did admit to being the one to pull the trigger." Stout added, "I didn't find him remorseful in watching my detectives do the interview, no. He did not want to be in her life anymore and was not ready to have a child is unfortunately how it appears to us."
Prosecutors allege that Adams was in a love triangle with Sims and another woman. According to local reports, Adams texted the other woman a day prior to Sims' murder to talk about how how upset he was about her pregnancy. Court documents state that Adams texted the woman, telling her that he wanted his freedom and Sims out of his life, and that "tomorrow this s**t done." The woman reportedly replied, "This ain’t the way baby."
