Willie D confronted Scarface during a recent episode of their Geto Boys podcast for not telling him that their group was included in the Grammys’ 50th anniversary Hip Hop tribute.

Willie D started off by sharing that he asked Scarface about what he was doing the weekend of the Grammys, and while Scarface admitted that he was going to the awards for the tribute, Willie D added that he didn't say anything about the Geto Boys being included. Willie D also felt slighted that Scarface didn't tell him that he was performing "Mind Playing Tricks on Me," which he co-wrote with Scarface.

Willie D stated, "Slighted? I feel beyond slighted. Like what I’m tryna figure out is … First of all, I ask you Wednesday when we left here, I said, ‘What you got for the weekend?’ You said, ‘I’m finna go fuck with this Grammys thing.’ I said, ‘Alright man, safe travels.’ Because, you know, that’s how we do it. Saturday come, I’m online and an article comes across about the Grammys. And I see ‘Geto Boys and Scarface’ in the lineup."

From there, Scarface told Willie D, "I can stand on my own two feet with no Geto Boys," and Willie agreed that Scarface carved out a place in history as a solo artist. He then added, "Remember I’m the one who said, ‘Hey man, you oughta call yourself Scarface.’ So I ain’t gon’ never hate on you. Never. When I see you win, I see Geto Boys win because we are a group."

With that being said, Willie D said that Scarface should've performed one of his solo songs at the Grammys tribute, not a Geto Boys song if Willie D wasn't also invited to perform. The two entertainers went back-and-forth, with Scarface telling Willie D that the producers of the show asked him to perform the song, and he added that he was given a very limited performance of the song.

When Scarface told Willie D that he is glad that he performed the song and that Questlove reached out to him, Willie told Scarface that he was "selfish." Scarface then accused Willie of being "way more selfish than me," and Willie told Scarface that he would've never done anything like he did with the Grammys performance. Willie then pointed out that he formed the Geto Boys podcast after building a successful solo podcast for the betterment of the group's brand. You can check out the full clip above.
