He then talked about landing on the stage name “Freeway” after learning about Freeway Ricky’s story. Freeway said he even wrote a letter to Freeway Ricky in prison to get his blessing for using the name. He also recounted meeting Beanie Sigel for the first time and how that chance encounter eventually led to him signing to Roc-a-Fella.
