BabyTron was recently taken into custody at the Vanburen Police Station upon his arrest for possession of illegal drugs. The specificity of the controlled substances is yet to have been made public. Shortly after news broke of Babytron's arrest, his mug shot went viral when fans learned of his full name, James Edward Johnson.
On a local level, BabyTron (22) is known throughout his hometown of Ypsilanti, Michigan (located about 30 minutes away from Detroit) as being 1/3 of a rap group known as the Sh*ttyBoyz. However, on a global scale, hip hop fans are much more familiar with him as a solo artist. The "Prince of Mitten" rapper was named to the XXL Freshman Class of 2022.
According to the drug crime laws in Michigan, BabyTron could be faced with a hefty fine and/or prison time of up to four years, depending on how many grams he was in possession of at the time of his arrest.
