Jeffree Star has been living out his wildest dreams since developing a cult following during the height of the MySpace era in the mid-2000s. His fearless propensity for cross-dressing, extravagant fashion sense and overtly sexual subject matter helped make him a fixture amongst emo and scene kids. When the years passed and those subcultures faded, Jeffree Star remained relevant as a socialite, content creator, and makeup artist. The business-savvy entrepreneur and former associate of Kat Von D slowly transitioned from being a niche celebrity to the world of urban music when he formed a flourishing working relationship with Akon. Apparently, it didn't take the 37-year-old long to acclimate himself to the urban music scene. In a recent interview with NFL player Taylor Lewan on his podcast The Bussin Boys, Jeffree claimed that he checked off a box from his bucket list of bedroom conquests when he slept with a well-known rapper with multiple Grammys. But that wasn't the quote that sent the internet into a frenzy. The LGBTQ+ icon condemned the usage of pronouns like "them" and "they."

“I’m not into all the other bullsh*t,” Star said. “The ‘they’ and ‘them.’ And all that extra sh*t that we added during the pandemic because everyone was so bored in their f*cking houses. They just started to make up more sh*t...“That’s why the conservatives like me, because I’m just real...You’re not they and them. You’re trans — you’re male, or you’re female. And people get so mad when I say that. How are you a ‘they?’ What the f*ck does that mean? It’s stupid!”
