In this clip, Vlad started off asking Freeway if he thought his first Roc-A-Fella deal was fair, and he revealed that he got $375,000 and a $1 million recording budget. Freeway explained that for someone relatively unknown off of the streets to get that deal is fair, and he added that the label made him a household name. When asked what he bought with the money, Freeway revealed that he bought a Cadillac, but he added that he didn’t blow it right away. Freeway stated that he knew to save money, but he admitted that it took him a minute to get a grip on things. He also revealed that the execs at Roc-A-Fella were big on telling them to stay on top of their taxes and money. When asked about Roc-A-Fella’s beef with The Lox, Freeway revealed that he was there for a year or two before things popped off. Freeway explained that there were “little shots” that were going back and forth from the two camps before Jadakiss dropped “Un-Hunh!” From there, Beanie Sigel and Jadakiss continued to drop diss tracks, and Freeway recalls Jadakiss dissing him. Freeway called it a “brilliant chess move,” and he went on to speak about how he responded, which you can hear in full above.
