A 23-year-old prison guard may find herself becoming a prison inmate after she was arrested after attempting to smuggle drugs inside the facility.
Nyeisha Davis worked as a guard at Elayn Hunt Correctional Facility where she was caught trying smuggle the drugs into the prison that were hidden inside her body. Narcotic agents with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office along with the Louisiana Department of Corrections subsequently arrested Davis.
She has since been charged with the following:
introduction of contraband into a correctional facility
possession with intent to distribute marijuana
possession with intent to distribute heroin
possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine
malfeasance in office
