In this clip, Stephanie Mills recalls the heyday of 'The Wiz' on Broadway, during a time before the live-action version was released when Michael Jackson, Jermaine, and Hazel Gordy would often come to watch the show in NYC. She explains that Michael would frequent the show a lot more once he knew that he was going to be playing a role in the film. This prompts a discussion about her friendship with Michael before he because an international solo star and his outward appearances began to change. She explains that Michael was gentle but that he was not a punk either.
