According to reports, former NBA player Trevor Ariza was hit with a restraining by his estranged wife Bree Anderson, who claimed he was abusive during their marriage, and that she still was in fear for her after the divorce proceedings began.
Since then, the 37-year-old turned over weapons to the LAPD after he was ordered to do so by a court, which was part of the restraining order filed by Anderson. Ariza reportedly turned over 2 AR-15s and 2 Glocks. The weapons will be stored until the resolution of the restraining order.
In her filing, Bree Anderson said Ariza “engaged in acts of extreme physical abuse” and “He was verbally and emotionally abusive to me. Some of the abuse occurred in the presence of our children. I have been financially dependent on Trevor throughout our marriage.”
One incident pointed out by Anderson claimed Ariza choked her until she passed out, saying, “He immediately grabbed me by the throat and started choking me until I was unconscious.” Because of that, she filed a restraining order against the basketball player. As of now, a judge granted a temporary restraining order, barring Ariza from going within 100 yards of the woman. Stay tuned for more updates.
