Last month, fans of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed began to mourn what appeared to be the inevitable breakup of one of sports television's most beloved duos. Turmoil between Skip Bayless and his co-host Shannon Sharpe began to arise upon Skip's questionable tweet about Damar Hamlin's near-death injury during a Monday Night Football game. The January incident triggered a series of contentious instances involving the outside commentary of celebrities such as Matt Barnes and Jalen Rose. It also caused Shannon to miss work the following morning before he and Skip got into an on-air verbal dispute upon his return that same week. But, through it all, the strong bond between Skip and Shannon has withstood the test of controversy and outside influence.

During an interview with Chris "Mad Dog" Russo, on Super Bowl weekend, NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe revealed some details about his chemistry with Skip and how the two of them were able to navigate such problematic waters to get to a position where their debate show on Fox Sports thriving, and talk of their demise is no longer a trending topic.

Undisputed is currently on a one-week hiatus, but Shannon has remained quite busy during the show's vacation. His podcast Club Shay Shay just aired its 74th episode with Lil Duval. Shannon also appeared as a guest on The Adam Schein Podcast, where he dished some details regarding his approach to mending the fence with Skip Bayless. The three-time Super Bowl Champion also talked about their relationship off-camera before explaining the difference between their relationship and Skip's friendship with his former debate partner on First Take Stephen A. Smith.
