In this clip, Stephanie Mills spoke about her relationship with her ex-husband, Shalamar member Jeffrey Daniels, and she revealed that they got married after six months. Despite their divorce, Stephanie stated that they’re still great friends, and she reacted to being asked if “(You’re Putting) A Rush on Me” is about Jeffrey. When Shawn Prez told Stephanie that she looked like she’d beat someone up, she explained that she was not sure about that, but she added that she doesn’t tolerate what a lot of women today will. She then added that it’s better to be alone than to be with a “raggedy man,” with Stephanie going on to speak about women doing “play marriage.” This led to a conversation about Stephanie speaking about never living with any of her boyfriends and marrying all of her serious boyfriends.
