Texas rapper 2G.Kaash was arrested for murder charges related to the death of Khurram Ali, which reportedly went down in Dallas.
Ali was shot on January 19 and taken to the hospital to have his wounds treated. However, the 33-year-old man didn’t survive, and now an investigation into the shooting has been sparked.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Ali was seen getting into an exchange with 20-year-old Ghazi “2G.Kaash” Harris, an artist under Kodak Black’s Sniper Gang Records. Two security guards claimed to have witnessed the exchange between the two, with one guard saying he saw Ali drop a trash bag from out of his car before other people came and picked it up. Detectives searched Ali’s car, where they found two phones with texts sent to a Cashapp user named $Kaash2G, with the exchange being related to a $60 Uber ride from December 2022.
An affidavit revealed messages were exchanged between the victim and the alleged killer. In the text exchange between Ali and the rapper, they allegedly coordinated a meet-up and sent pictures of “illegal narcotics.” The last text message in their exchange was sent by Ali, who asked Kaash, “You gone try to runoff on me?” It was noted the text message’s location was the same as where Ali was killed and found by a friend later on.
It was noted that handprints on Ali’s car matched the rapper’s prints after it was run through a national database. 2G.Kaash was at a Texas Trust CU Theatre concert when the ATF and U.S. Marshals apprehended the rapper. As of now, 2G.Kaash has been denied bond. Stay tuned for more updates.
