In this clip, Shawn Prez started off by asking Stephanie Mills about Rolling Stone’s list of the “200 Greatest Singers of All Time,” which excluded her, Celine Dion, and others. Stephanie stated that she didn’t care, and when it came to Celine, Stephanie asked, “Are you crazy?” Shawn then pointed out that Adele came in at #22, and Stephanie explained that these types of lists are subjective. From there, Shawn asked Stephanie about her thoughts on some of the great Black artists who aren’t able to tour. Stephanie explained that the system isn’t set up for Black artists to succeed, and she added that she learned that early in her career.
