Dr. Michael Baden sat down for his first-ever VladTV interview, and he started off by speaking to Shawn Prez about growing up in Brooklyn and always aspiring to become a doctor. While he was in medical school, Dr. Baden became interested in forensic pathology. After graduating from NYU Medical School in 1959, Dr. Baden started doing autopsies around the time that heroin was taking the lives of a lot of young people, which is nothing compared to the fentanyl deaths today. From there, Dr. Baden spoke about being involved in the autopsy of the inmates and officers who died in the 1971 “Attica Uprising” incident, where 32 inmates and 9 officers were killed. Dr. Baden also shared his thoughts on the two autopsies done on George Floyd, the death of mob boss Carmine Galante, and JFK’s assassination. During the interview, Dr. Baden discussed his work on the exhumation and autopsy of former California State football player Ron Settles and civil rights activist Medgar Evers. One of the most high-profile cases Dr. Baden worked on was the autopsy of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, which he discussed, along with his thoughts on OJ’s trial, in which he testified.
