In February 2023, fans in Oakland who came to see GloRilla perform reportedly threw water at the rapper and spat in her direction as well. Since then, a bodyguard who was present during the incident revealed he was fired afterward for failing to defend the artist.

In a video posted to social media, The bodyguard went on to say he was let go after GloRilla asked him to go after the woman who threw water at her but didn’t. The bodyguard said, “So all that extra s**t, I don’t want to hear none of that s**t. I got her out of there safe.”

He continued saying, “She making videos ain’t she? She talking to y’all can’t she? ‘Cause she talked to me. You alive we got out that muthaf**ker. I did my job, it’s complete.”

The bodyguard made it clear it is not his responsibility to attack someone just because his client says so. The guard said because the woman didn’t throw the water directly at the rapper, going after her was no good. Watch above.
